A Murder in Parallel World
A downloadable game
Deduction games are one of my long-term research directions. I have been working on making more open, free, and even "sandbox" games of deduction, and have experimented a lot with different design theories. After trying out the Japanese TRPG games Netsuzou Mystery ( 捏 造 ミ ステリー , literally means fabricated mystery) in 2021, I came up with a new design philosophy: Statements will be truth. The statements made by the player will be recorded as truth and cannot be contradicted, then the player can use them as a tool for logical attack or defence. A Murder in Parallel Worlds is the first game I have designed under this theory.
